Mountain Cabin Remodel
This project transformed an outdated mountain cabin in Beulah, CO into a modern yet charming retreat. We remodeled the entire home—both interior and exterior—bringing new life to a space that was long overdue for an update.
PROJECT: White Mountain Cottage – Full Remodel
BUDGET: $300,000
LOCATION: Beulah, Colorado
Design Approach
Embracing the mountain charm was paramount. Our goal was to modernize the cabin while preserving its rustic character. We retained much of the original wall coverings, refreshing them with a fresh coat of paint that added an extra pop of character. The design was inspired by the vision of a cozy mountain cottage with plenty of personality.

Challenges & Solutions
A significant challenge was the removal of a large chimney as part of the new design. Additionally, the home featured unique support beams that required careful attention. Our team custom fabricated support beams on site and meticulously experimented with stain colors to achieve the perfect match, ensuring the structural integrity and aesthetic continuity of the cabin.
Materials & Finishes
High-quality materials played a key role in elevating the space. The project features:
- Butcher block countertops
- Hickory shelves
- Showplace Hickory cabinets
- Wellborn green painted cabinets
- Quartz countertops
These choices seamlessly blended modern updates with the timeless appeal of mountain living.
